Community Liaison Officer in Chuuk, Micronesia (IOM)
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is recruiting a Community Liaison Officer in Chuuk, Micronesia. The main duties of this post include to communicate the community needs with operations for planning purposes in coordination with the Head of Sub-Office (HoSO) and Admin/Finance Officer (AFO) and to prepare Mission Summary Sheets, budgets, and post-mission reports. In addition the successful applicant will conduct appropriate and regular field visits to assigned sites (beneficiary locations) and directly involve and supervise the IP activities so that they are achieved efficiently, effectively and with flexibility. Furthermore the  Community Liaison Officer will interact and work in project operations with implementing partners and typhoon affected populations respecting their opinions, experience and participation. To qualify for this position a Master’s degree in Business Management, Logistics, and Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience is needed. The knowledge of English is mandatory and the working knowledge of any local languages of Yap and Chuuk will be an advantage. The closing date for this post will be 21 December 2016.

Associate Programme Specialist (UNESCO)
UNESCO – United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization is advertising for the position of an Associate Programme Specialist (Social And Human Sciences) which is located in Paris, France. The candidate will contribute to the preparation of substantial input from diverse sources to the implementation of the Action Plan for the International Decade for the Rapprochement of Cultures (2013-2022); provide technical backstopping to a broad range of stakeholders/institutions and colleagues across Sectors (HQs and Field). Moreover, the successful applicant will assist in the implementation of a wide variety of programmes, projects and new initiatives for the promotion of Intercultural and Interfaith Dialogue and the Culture of Peace; undertake related research tasks and analysis, in relation to the UNESCO Chairs in Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue (UNITWIN). Among other duties include contributing to the preparation of statutory documents and drafting decisions of the governing bodies as well as of the UN Secretary-General’s annual report on Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue and a Culture of Peace and other strategic/programmatic/informative documents. To be eligible to apply you must have an advanced university degree in the field of social science, humanities or in related areas. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Whilst a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the field of social and human sciences of which at least one year at the international level. Project Officer (UNDP)
The UNDP is offering a post of a Project Officer to be based in Tripoli, Libya. As a PO you will be expected to assist the PM in preparing Annual Work Plans and Budgets on the basis of project document. The duties will also include keeping track of all project progress against indicators defined in the results framework.Moreover, the candidate will keep abreast of important developments related to the Libyan women political participation including their engagement in the Constitutional Committee (CC), HoR political dialogue, Women Empowerment Unit civil society, academia, journalists etc. through direct contacts, media, reports & academic research. In order to fit for this position, you must have a Master degree or equivalent in administration, political sciences, law, development studies, science or a related field; with a minimum 2 to 4years of work experience preferably in projects implementation or related field. A highly understanding of the current situation of women political participation in Libya and experience with UN agencies are assets. Eloquence in English & Arabic required.
